The Investment of Therapy:
Mental and Emotional Well-being
Just like physical health, mental and emotional well-being are crucial for a fulfilling life. Investing in therapy can lead to improved emotional regulation, better coping skills, and enhanced overall mental health.
- Quality of Life: Therapy can help individuals manage and overcome issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress, which can significantly impact one's quality of life. The improvement in mental health can lead to a more satisfying and meaningful existence.
- Prevention and Early Intervention: Engaging in therapy early can prevent the worsening of mental health conditions. It can address issues before they become more entrenched, potentially reducing the need for more intensive and costly interventions down the line.
- Skill Development: Therapy equips individuals with valuable skills for managing challenges. These skills can extend beyond the therapy room and positively influence various aspects of life, including relationships, work, and personal growth.
- Alternative to Other Coping Mechanisms: People often spend money on various forms of self-soothing, distraction, or escapism. Redirecting these resources towards therapy can lead to healthier coping strategies and more sustainable improvements in mental health.
- Improved Relationships: Therapy can enhance communication skills, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness, leading to more meaningful and fulfilling relationships.
- Personal Growth: Therapy provides a space for self-exploration, self-discovery, and personal growth. It can help individuals better understand themselves, their values, and their life goals.
- Tailored Support: Therapy offers personalized guidance that considers an individual's unique circumstances, challenges, and goals. This level of individualized attention can be difficult to find elsewhere.
- Expertise: Therapists bring expertise, training, and experience in understanding and treating psychological issues. This expertise can lead to more efficient progress compared to trying to navigate challenges alone.

Make sure to ask your insurance company about what deductibles you may have, how much they cover toward the cost of therapy, and if there are any limitations on the number of therapy sessions they cover.
My credentialing information can be provided to your insurance company. Contact me for my NYS License Number, NPI Number, and EIN Number.
The CPT code (or "procedure code") for individual psychotherapy I will provide is usually either 90834 or 90837.
